What do you think of this winemaker and their wines? Overpriced or right in line with 60.00 price point ie Pine Ridge, Jordan, etc?

Sorry but I've never had a Hewitt wine. Looking forward to hearing from those who have though.

I have had several since the first vintage in 2001. Made by Tom Rinaldi, who makes Provenance and I believe once made Duckhorn. I think Tom Selfridge is involved in the winery too. I like them and find them in line with most other wines at their price point and better than some more expensive. Is it a great QPR? Probably not but it is a very good bottle of wine in my experience. I have heard others say that the winery has great vineyard sources and may under-perform but it's not my experience.

Yes, we did just have a thread on Hewitt. Again, Hewitt is a nice wine, especially for $40, but my wife paid $75! Mad
I do think it is a more serious wine than the Pine Ridge or Jordan, and most seemed to be paying $40 to $60.... Roll Eyes

Don't feel too badly. I too paid 75.00 for the 04 @ Sherry-Lehmann and 79.00 for the 05 locally.
I may be able to source the 06 @ 48.00 and justify purchasing as some sort of twisted dollar cost averaging...
