If I got hit by lightning every time I said I would stop buying wine, I would currently be extra crispy. Big Grin

As soon as we finish up with that election, maybe we can start a poll on this?

BTW I heard an ad recently that said something about lightning hitting the earth up to 60,000 time each minute (hour?). Either way, that's a lot of wine drinkers getting zapped with a little extra juice! Big Grin

If you even think about opening this wine until 2005, I will drive to Ottawa and slap you silly.RazzBig Grin , As you might recall, the 375ml bottle I brought to that offline a few months back was a complete waste.

Where did you buy them?

Ouch! I hope not, but I'll have to try it.

In case it is cooked, do you know if winery stores give refunds like the LCBO?

OTW.... A little trick (don't tell anyone)... If you return just the bottle (not the box), the UPC code on the back label shows in the LCBO system as $56. Big Grin If you don't like it, I just made you $20!

If there is no UPC code, you won't be able to return it at the LCBO. Most of the popular wineries use the same labels for sales at the winery or through the LCBO.

Lentini, I had the 01 from a half bottle that I bought at the same time as Baird. I drank mine 2-3months before Baird's and it was wonderful and rich. Baird's bottle had closed up so tight, it wasn't even the same wine.

I think this wine will need at least 5 years before it even start to open up, and even then, will probably need another 5-10 years before being at its full potential.
But it is a beautiful wine (when I tasted it). It had loads of rich fruit.
