Went to the new wine megastore in town, Total Wine, today and picked up these 12 bottles:

05 Lindemans Bin 99 Pinot Noir x 6 @ 4.77 ea. A cheapy everyday decent drinking PN. Can't beat the price.

04 Covey Run Riesling Columbia Valley x 2 @ 5.99 ea. Once again, hard to beat the price.

03 Edmeades Zinfandel Mendocino County x 1 @ 12.97

04 D'Autrefois Pinot Noir Vin de Pays D'OC x 1 @ 7.99

00 Chateau de Cruzeau Pessac-Leognan x 1 @ 19.99

03 Chateau du Grand Carretey Sauternes 375ml x1 @ 9.99 - can't find any info on this sauternes, but figured for the price, I'd give it a shot.

This is on sale (reg $56) only at the Inniskillin 'Wine Rack' stores. It's bottled in 'Canadian Olympic' packaging, which is being discontinued. WS rates this 89 and shows a $59US price.

OTW, Wrong Olympics! Razz

This has been sitting around cooking on the shelves since early '04. I think it was released just before the 2004 Summer Games. I tried a bottle last summer and it was cooked.

I would try it before cellaring it. Hopefully you got good bottles.

I'm back....

Ouch! I hope not, but I'll have to try it.

In case it is cooked, do you know if winery stores give refunds like the LCBO?

swirlygirl,

No I haven't. Don't know much about Pinot Noir, but I was told if choosing, this was THE Pinot Noir to choose. Sorry.

I'm bringing back some off and corked wines to the LCBO. (God love them for refunding your money in this case).
Will probably pick up something in exchange.
We'll see what they have. Thinking bordeaux.
