1999 Justin Isosceles. 90 points.

I will try to get some notes up later tonight or tomorrow. Moving a little slow today.

Also interested in impressions of the '04 Zin.

Hunter Don't send your mailer in too quickly. If it's postmarked prior to March 10, or faxed before March 20 it's thrown out!!!

Go HOKIES!!!

It was excellent, but young. Enjoyed it with osso buco at a restaurant in Scottsdale. My non-wino customers liked it too, so we ordered 3 bottles. Smile

Domaine St. Michelle Blanc de Blanc and Domaine St. Michelle Cuvee Brut. Prefer the blanc de blanc.

I've been promising myself a Pommery weekend for the last few weeks; this Friday may be the day to start.

It's good to keep promises to yourself.

Last night, Mrs. Slan and I were taken to Centro for dinner, where we (and our hosts) enjoyed something called the 2002 Black Chicken Zinfandel.

Slan... the producer is Robert Biale. He's got a cult following of sorts.

Thanks, Duojet. I had never heard of it before (and I'm just about the furthest thing from a zin afficionado) but it was quite tasty.

At a tasting I hosted tonight:

NV Minini Frascati
03 Gainey Sauvignon Blanc Santa Ynez Valley
04 Louis Jadot Beaujolais-Villages
03 Scarlatta Merlot Veneto
03 A-Mano Primitivo
03 Fonterutoli Chianti Classico

My two faves...the Gainey and Fonterutoli, the latter being a pretty good showing for a mostly bad Italian vintage.

T - Bird,

I see you recently had the 03' Sea Smoke Botella.

A TN perhaps, as I have some as well and would like to set a drinking window?
