i havent had it, but a friend who i gave some bottles to opened a RRV about 2-3 weeks ago and said it was very tight and now showing much, he advised to not open for a few years
On the fence....I have just a very few and am not sure I want more, but don't want to open to test because everyone says they'll be better in a year or two. A dilemna.
What did WS score them? Anyone know?

There are several tasting note threads on eBob, one of which includes a post from Jamie Kutch suggesting to wait 3+ years to drink the McDougall but to drink the RRV over the next 3 years.

Have you sampled them? Anyone?

Yes, I caved awhile back before I moved it offsite:
2006 Kutch RRV Pinot Noir - This is clearly better than the 2005. Not as ripe and not candied at all..and clearly less alc. I get some red fruits, citrus and spice...and a wonderful creamy texture. The balance is what really makes it amazing. The only thing I could complain about is a little more concentration paired with a bit more acid. (93pts)

Haven't cracked any of my bottles but I barrel sampled with Jamie at the winery in October and the barrels I tasted from that were to be blended for McDougall were absolutely incredible. I plan to open a RRV soon though.
