Dinner last night with Stemor, Latour67, Maxy, Winebee, RednWhite, Cleetn, wives and others(total 15).

I hope Winebee will post the wines. We had some terrific ones. I brought 2001 Kongsgaard Chard and 2001 Peter Michael-Belle Cote Chard.

Dinner was at Chez Phillippe in Memphis. Meal was great and service was INCREDIBLE. We had 22 wines and 15 people and they brought us fresh Reidal glasses for every wine-330 glasses and NO CORK FEES.

Another great thing-no hangovers @ Shaferguy's house.

I enjoyed last night, and agree with the excellent level of service. I have never seen so much stemware in my life... Smile It was my first time to meet everyone, except for latour67, and it seemed to be a great group of people. I brought a '03 Ramey Diamond Mtn. proprietary blend that Parker had rated low 90's and said it was ready to drink beginning in 2005. I think the concensus was that it was still too young, but had excellent potential with aging.
Looking forward to doing that again sometime.....

It was a fabulous evening, and as Shaferguy said:

The 22 wines were all wonderful, including the 2003 Neal Family Cab Smile, just a bit young though!

Of special note, stemor provided the WS WOTY, 2002 Insignia---Drab's favorite Eek

max brought a rich Sine Que None, I think I can remember that! Eek

winebee took all of the notes and I can only hope she has the energy to post them by tomorrow! Smile

Great time last night guys. It was fun to meet everybody. The service and food were top notch. They could have charged us rental fees for all that Riedel stemware. Who is goona post some notes.

Like we didn't have enough wine at dinner, Carol and I enjoyed a bottle of Bollinger Cuvee on the ride down.

This was our second anniversary of our first date, and almost exactly two years since our first public appearance ... which was a wine dinner with this same group, at the same restaurant, and, believe it or not, we even wound up with the same limo driver.

We then wound up with the same hangover we had two years ago. Wink

cheers, y'all!

330 glasses? WOW!

Purple Haze: We need to get something better than the Dixie cups at our offlines.
