I'm torn...both were equally good, but different:

Dado NV (Vinho de Mesa, Portugal) - A blend of Dão and Douro, made by Álvaro de Castro and Dirk Niepoort, and the second bottling: aka 2001
Ferreira 2001 Qta. d. Leda (Douro) - the modern Barca Velha? Perhaps not, but a stunning wine nonetheless - a superb Douro red.

  • 2001 Whitehall Lane Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve - USA, California, Napa Valley (2/24/2006)
Splash decanted. Had the boss over for a drink after work. We killed about half the bottle. Will have to re-taste tomorrow when my palate and brain are back on course. But, this was a pretty good bottle with air time. I'd say it even Very, very Good.

I finished the other half of the bottle and don't remember a thing so did not complete the note. You can definitey drink it now with decanting or wait down the line.

Probably the 2000 Martinelli Reserve Pinot.

Nothing memorable in the white wine arena.
