Ouch...sorry to see two corked,but not too surprised. Pichon Lalande may be my favorite '82 Bordeaux. How did it show? Also, curious about the Certain de May. I have always found it to be an early maturing Bordeaux in general. | |||

Agreed. I can think of several vintages that never seemed to close down, most notably the excellent 1979 which was fine at age 5. Just one more sip. | |||

The Pichon showed some green like and herbaceous undertones but hands down one for WOTN. The CdM was paired with Canon and Magdelaine, the Canon was by far the winner of the flight. The CdM was full bodied but had some strange aftertastes, it was not a favorite overshadowed by the Canon. | |||

Try that Beaucastel agin in 3-5 years. Normally, 22 years is plenty for Beaucastel, but I think this one is still improving. Just one more sip. | |||
