I'm moving from Chicago to Phoenix in June. How can I move 4-5 cases safely?

4 or 5 cases would ride with me in the cab of my vehicle if I was moving or driving myself.
Assuming they're packed in styrofoam shippers they'd probably be fine almost any way you go. Things shouldn't get really warm until AZ and they'd likely still be cool from where you stopped the night before if you're driving.

If you're flying check 4 of them as luggage.

Or 2-day air wouldn't be too cost-prohibitive for only 4 or 5 cases if you want someone else to do the lifting.

funny wine quip goes here.

I don't think I'd chance shipping wine to Phoenix in the summer. Now matter how fast it gets there, it could still sit in a truck in the Arizona summer sun for hours. You'll need assurance the wine is kept at reasonable temperatures. Taking it yourself is the ideal way. You might consider shipping it when the weather is cool enough.

Just one more sip.

I certainly would not ship them ground. Either put them in the car with you or ship two-day air.

I don't understand the 2 day air recommendation. The wine can still sit in the back of a truck for hours in the summer Phoenix sun.

Board-O is 100% correct. No shipping in June. Period. Even on a 85° day, temperatures in a car can get well over 100° right quick. Don't chance it.

I just used the UPS freight calculator to ship 5 cases of wine overnight from Phoenix to Chicago:

$1,354.30

Eek Eek

Just drive them in the air conditioned comfort of your car!
