Has anyone tried this. I saw this at my local store for $36.99. The website has it for $45. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Where was that? I saw it in Livonia for $49.99 at the Wine Castle (which is typically quite pricey).
Please let me know - |

I had this at an industry tasting about a month ago. I thought it was very average, along the lines of a $24 bottle of Simi or K-J. Scored it 86 pts. Surprisingly high acidity and low fruit extraction for a 2001 wine. Didn't know the price at the time I drew my conclusions, but marked this down as a "Pass". At $36-ish you might want to try one and see if it is your cup of tea. But at around $50, I would run the other way.
By the way, I tasted this side by side with the 2000 Fay, and thought that the Fay blew it away. |

SkiP,
I saw this at Champane's Wine Cellars on 13 mile west of Van Dyke. Cheers to GrapeFriends! |

Guess they thought it would give it more "cash-eh."

JimmyV pretty much spells it out for this wine. Despite their efforts to spice up the name with a little Greek mythology and increase the amount of estate fruit (5% to 30% with 20% being from the Fay vineyard), it was still disappointing for ’01 juice. There are several '01 QPR wines listed on this forum that will provide more complexity and balance than this wine at $38.
