I have an invite to a tasting of Pieroth Wines. This is apparently something like a tupperware party for wines. From what I can gather they are a direct delivery distributor with a range of wines from around the world.

Please let me know if you've ever had any experience with them and whether you have any suggestions for good wines from them.

Thanks

It appears they are wines distributed by PRP Wine International Web Page here.
I think you hit the nail on the head...tupperware party for wines...but I hope they don't 'Burp'!

I offer sound advice.
That's 99% sound and 1% advice

smvos,

Someone that I used to work with in the early 1980's used to buy wine from pieroth. They had never complained of any problems with the company and seemed very satisfied. If nothing else this tells you that the company has been around for quite some time. Sorry could not be more help.

smvos,

A friend of mine that I work with orders their wines and I've tried several. Basically they're early drinking, simple wines and overpriced. Most of the wines he buys run from $17.00 to $28.00 a bottle and they should be more in the $10.00 range. If he gets a wine that is corked he calls and they are very prompt and efficient in giving him a replacement with no questions asked so I know their customer service is excellent but considering the price of their wines they should be.

Thanks, gee 2 people have asked the same question today about my name. I chose the name k.syrah because 1) I like the song, I was just a little girl when the song and movie was out and popular and my mom used to sing that song, among others. When my mom sang it made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, because I knew she was happy and content. 2) I use the single version k syrah instead of syrah syrah just because and also it's fun to see how many people make the corelation between the song/wine. 3) Currently syrah is one of my favorite types of wine. 4) when I was just a lurker before posting I noticed that sometimes people would get very emotional about a topic and que sera, sera typifies my "go with the flow" lazie fare attitude.

All of the above is probably WAY more info than you wanted, but I enjoy getting insight into other forum members and was sharing some just now.

ks Cool

Thanks for the explanation. Maybe K. Syrah is better.

PS: I hope you don't drink too much of the stuff from down under...then you would have to be K. Shiraz, which doesn't work as well...it sounds more like a rap star. Confused Big Grin

Thanks for the tips. As always, I'll taste with great discretion and one hand on my wallet.
