So, Hubby and I spent the morning doing partial inventory and move to offsite. AKA "Saturday Morning Married People Fighting" (Since we both are guilty, I am sure you can picture the wide stanced finger pointing) We are trying to make room for the last of our 05bdx arrivals and I was wondering if anyone has received their Malescot? I ordered from 2 different sources in 06 and don't have either. I saw a post in the Costco thread from someone in Austin who claimed to have picked up 10 bottles in May. It seemed odd. Anyone?

Well, I haven't ordered the Malescot, but there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to where/when the futures are arriving. Case in point: I have some Guiraud Sauternes coming. My LWS tells me that it's heading over the Atlantic right now, due to one of the endless strikes in France. About 15 miles away, at another wine store, they have two cases for sale (at $91 I might add, ). Glad I paid significantly less.

You are right, there is no rhyme or reason. I still don't have most of my Right Bank stuff. I just thought it was odd that the MSE was in a Costco in Texas and wondered if anyone else had received theirs.

There seems little rhyme or reason to how & when Brdx futures are shipped.

We reveived the 2003 Malescot when 04 Grand Cru's were showing up, same with the 2004 Malescot and 2005's It might be different this year and for other distributors, but with where I work, it's a late bloomer.

Still waiting on my 05 Malescot (and Guiraud BTW). All I've heard is a general statement that they may arrive in the fall, which frankly is fine with me since it's 112 degrees right now...

I saw the Costco thread too and called a couple of them but the item number didn't show up in any of their records...not sure if they ever really carried the Malescot or not.

I think you are right about Costco. Hubby made a good point (after we started speaking again ) If the Malescot had been shipped, we would be seeing a lot of it on the auction sites. As of today, there was none. I hear you about the weather, with the record heat here in Cali I am looking towards a record bill for AC next month.

My Malescot futures are coming in Ontario, Canada. No sign of them yet.

No '05 Malescot, Kirwan or Leoville Barton yet. However, Pontet Canet, Clerc Milon and Duhart Milon have arrived. Many other '05 BDX are in stock at my LWS.

Hasn't arrived here, nor have I heard from the retailer. The only 2005 that I have received has been Larcis-Ducasse. No worries....

CSW - Neither of my two purchases have been delivered. One from FL and one from CA.

My '05 Malescot has been tucked away nicely in my cellar for three weeks.

They're asking $225 I think.

There are several places that ship where it goes for $170-ish I think (there used to be a few for $165, but those seem to be gone now). Zachys is the high water mark for '05 Bdx... no bargains there.
