Does anyone frequent the Paso/SLO area? I am thinking about taking a trip out to Paso Robles and do some wine tasting, with a stop in Santa Barbera on the way home. Just curious what wineries to visit when I am in Paso.

I would recommend Justin, Tablas Creek, and Turley.

Justin has pretty grounds. Their tasting room is a few miles away from their winery. Tablas Creek has some great Rhone varietals and great customer service. Check out the organic farm next door to Tablas Creek. Turley has a very small tasting room that barely accomodates 10 people but still worth a stop.

Hey Bella,

Did you go to the same School of Rehabilitation Therapy that Serge went to?

Welcome back girl!

If you like Pinot, you should also try to stop by Windward.

All right, if we are doing this here, in no particular order:

1. Garretson
2. Turley
3. Zin Alley
4. Nadeau Family
5. Dover Canyon
6. L'Aventure
7. Tablas Creek
8. Tobin James for fun.

Good choices so far.

I would add L'Aventure for Paso Robles.

If you go down SLO way, stop in at Domaine Alfred. Their whole 2004 vintage (Chard, Pinot, Syrah) rocks.

Don't forget Dover Canyon! ZIN~!

Also, there are some incredible wineries that don't have tasting rooms. Go into town and try some of the local shops for esoteric recommendations.

You're supposed to read and then respond.

I have never been to the tasting room, but I have had several wines from Adelaida Cellars in Paso Robles, and I have enjoyed them.

I have not been too impressed with the Summerwood wines. However, they are very nice there. We always stay at the Summerwood Inn when we are in the area.

Just got back from a trip thru SB & SLO. My favorites were Foley, Melville, Cambria, Saucelito Cyn, Tolosa, Castoro.
