Canadian Icewine really is awesome.. It seems WS would have granted a 100 pointer by now. Had some Jackson Triggs (vidal) recently that was purely decadent.

Is it just me or does anyone else smell the delicious aroma of a smoked, chopped, canned pork product?

Love this quote from the review. "An Icewine produced in its entirety with the rare variety Pinot Gris" Since when is Pinot Gris rare? This guy must really know his wines.
Remember to always aim high, that way you won't get any on your shoes.

What the guy was probably trying to say is that it's not very common to find an ice wine made from pinot gris. Most of it tends to be riesling or vidal (at least in Ontario).
Call me cynical, but anyone else think that Maple is a shill?

Typical response from the ignorance of of an un-developed palate seeking the chior of plebeian praise devalued in any real thought or logic. Smiles everyone! Smiles as he bathes in his elitist agitprop. Forbid the fool who could suggest a 100 point Icewine!

Ok, I get it you hate this stuff. BTW I actually prefer Karo, its a much better representation of that special burnt wood nuance. Especially drizzled on pre-frozen waffles.mmmmm!

However, he's most likely correct. The post does smell of SPAM.

Oh well, classify me as "ignorant" if you wish.
I'll simply classify you as an "idiot".

While I think Icewines are good and they have scored in the early 90s by WS, the article referred to by maple is not exactly objective and far from being unbias. Even the moniker gave it away, maple? That's like a poster by the name of Uncle Sam singing the virtues of Michigan wine or god forbid, Long Island wines.
Thanks to GA, our resident spam sniffer, he was able to smell the ruse immediately(and he is right about the nature of the post.) He can smell a can of pork almost a mile away-that's his gift to the world and sometimes his curse.
