To the Riesling lovers in Ontario. Any great German Rieslings currently available in Vintages for $50 or less?
Thanks in advance... |

You can check a thread I started last week in the Wine Conversations forum where I sought advice on drinking windows and good matches of several rieslings I own. As I rarely drink rieslings, they must have been highly thought-of by someone or I would not have bought them.
BTW, of the wines listed, we tasted the Louis Sipp (Alsatian) riesling with our sole and liked it a lot, though it was much better with the food than without it. ------------------- Go Bruins!! Go Tigers!! Go Pistons!! Go Lions!! |

Depending on the store, the LCBO sells quite a nice assortment of German Rieslings.
I would purchase a 2003 Gunderloch Spatlese, which costs around 40 dollars - delicious! www.hitnerwine "For love of everything that is wine" |

Most of the Gunderloch is pretty good, even the GUNDERLOCH 'JEAN-BAPTISTE' KABINETT. But if you can still fund the Spatlese, then it will be better. You can also try the Markus Monitor, they should be very good as well.
