How was the '90 Tig? Thanks in advance.

skosh-babe:

The '90 Tig is still going strong. Fruity (plum), some vanilla and still tannic and acidic. Excellent with pasta. LP93 (now the Burgundy was un-be-friggin-lievable)
"skosh-babe"...I like that! Wink Smile Well, I just now ordered the '02 Comte Georges de Vogue Chambolle-Musigny based on your rec, thanks! (They had a whopping 1 bottle @ Fine Wines International.)

Thanks too for your thoughts on the '90 Tig. I'm (selfishly) after all good things 1990 since my birth year ('68) bites. Eek I know enough to be dangerous about which '90 Bordeaux to chase, but I'm weak in my knowledge of Italians from that year...

Cheers!

Skoshy, I have a few '90 Bordeaux and others to bring to the party!

Probably the best lunch I ever had. The 05 Dominus was very nice for such a young wine I'll be grabbing some of those for sure.

Oh man, I bet that was quite a lunch.

How was the 04 Metisse in comparison to the rest? Which wine did you like the best?

Awesome. Highly recommended. This bottle has this little, slight reductive quality to it...other than that, terrific.

After a 40 mile bike ride tonight, I cooled off with a delicious bottle of 2004 Zind Humbrecht Herrenweg Pinot Gris

Glad you enjoyed it now, as '05 is very tannic.

I do hope you try again in 2025, and post your tasting note. Smile

oh it was the barbaresco

a bottle of la spinetta moscato d'asti =)

the 03 galina is very nice, but too young,

beautiful nose of rose water, cedar and sweet red strawberries.

Very chewy tannins that still need time to resolve, burst of red currants and a nice 30 second finish of red berries mixed with a hint of dark chocolate.

2002... that is a cellared wine for drab. Wink

Glad it was showing well.
