Did you write the note on cellartracker? Happen to have one of these, wish I opened it tonight instead of the Ferrari Carano Tresor Reserve.

1992 The Hess Collection Cabernet. Probably a bit past its prime but still a nice drop.

I was thinking of something from the Mosel myself but if you'd like to pop that I'll be sure and pop TWO from the Mosel to cancel you out. Razz

It's quite good and drinking nicely now. A pretty decent QPR as well; I remember getting 3 of these for a bit under $30 each.

skosh-babe:

The '90 Tig is still going strong. Fruity (plum), some vanilla and still tannic and acidic. Excellent with pasta. LP93 (now the Burgundy was un-be-friggin-lievable)

I was lucky to attend a lunch this week that required everyone bring a California meritage, including the following wines:

1992 Dominus
1997 Opus One
1999 Joseph Phelps Insignia
2000 Bond The Matriarch
2002 Verite La Muse
2002 Pahlmeyer
2003 Peter Michael Les Pavots
2003 Behrens & Hitch**** The Heavyweight
2004 Pahlmeyer
2004 Philippe Melka Metisse
2005 Dominus

Probably the best lunch I ever had. The 05 Dominus was very nice for such a young wine I'll be grabbing some of those for sure.
