The Pingus was surprisingly very Bordeaux like. I enjoyed it very much. A special wine IMO. It paired well with a Basque style Osso Bucco.

The Grand Chablis was also very enjoyable. Very nice. Can expound on these opinions later.

Last day of my 1.5-week business trip. Was able to go on a nice bike ride today (beautiful weather) and am now kicking back with the US Open on, room service dining coming soon, and a bottle of 1999 Hartwell Stags Leap Cab sitting in the decanter.

A beautiful Chablis. However, I should have known better, going to a BYO for a first trip and not knowing their glasses. They had very poor wine glasses to thoroughly enjoy anthing to its' fullest (Dollarama style). So is it worth $78? Can't honestly make that judgement. It was showing very nice, but I think not up to its' potential.

The glassware had little effect on the Flor de Pingus however, I think. Gorgeous stuff.
