Vino Me,

ChillyWino pretty much summed it up, it will be determined as soon as I find a hosting site.

As far as ARod goes, for drafting purposes, he will only qualify as a SS initially, as he didn't play any 3B last year. You are free to move him around after the season starts when he hits the minimum game played requirement at 3B.

I am certain that my wife will probably think my priorities are all wrong, and well actually I would have to agree with her. Count me in. I will make sure that I do my player ranking as soon as we find the host site so if I can't make the draft I can at least be represented with some good players!

I've used them for basketball and they are ok. Can they support 24 teams? Have you taken a look at espn?

ChillyWino,

I was hoping ESPN was going to come up with the League Manager option like they have with fantasy football, but that was not the case. They can only support up to 12 teams per league in their existing format.

cbssportsline is not my first choice, but they can support 24 teams. The only thing I can't quite figure out is if they have the live draft option...

Pyang,

Yea I would prefer yahoo over CBSSportline but not many choices with 24 people. From reading through things it looks like they are starting to add some features that are on both yahoo and espn. Now if they can just improve their overall design. I sent off an email to support asking about live drafts. If I get something back I'll let you know.

Pyang,

Have you looked into CNNSI yet. They have five different draft options. I can't tell how many teams are allowed though. There is a free trial. I used this site last year and it is very user friendly.

Cheers to GrapeFriends!

WineO,

Thanks for the link, looks to be more user friendly than the cbssportsline site, but can only support up to 20 teams per league... Frown

No AAA teams. Just throw a couple of Tigers on your team and you will be all set. Big Grin

Would it be an acceptable option to have two divisions of 12 teams? We could then have two division champions and one overall winner. The only issues here would be:
You'd have to have two drafts
You'd have to base the scoring on total fantasy points as you could not compare a roto system.

Just my 2 cents worth... Wink

I would also enjoy 2 leagues with 12 players. I don't want any Tigers on my team (except for Pudge, maybe). Big Grin

Scotty,

It's possible to have two leagues/divisions, but as you mentioned, roto would not be possible, plus the cost would be higher.
So for this inaugural season, we'll just see how the traditional way goes.

***

jaimetown,

You got it, full roster of Tigers... Wink

Folks, you should be getting an e-mail invitation to join the league if you haven't already.

The live draft is set for Monday, March 29th at 9:00pm EST.

Take a look at the league home page, click a few buttons here and there to get the feel for the site.

Let me know if you have any questions. Smile

that's my wife's due date! Big Grin

She should have "popped" by then though as she is 100% out of room to grow. So I should have my 2 week old draft helper in the war room with me!

I'll have some grape juice and she can have some....nevermind

wine, women & song and nirvana94.

Please let me know ASAP if you are still planning on joining us, if so, I will need your e-mail address.

If I don't hear from you by February 29th, I will assume you no longer want to participate. Thanks.
