Draft order will be random, either determined by the hosting site or otherwise.

I am up for tasting something during the draft, maybe it can serve as a distraction to other owners so I can have a better team. Wink

As for the prize pot and how to handle the logistic on those wines, I will address that in February when I send out the first league e-mail.

That e-mail should include all the necessary details for the draft including hosting site.

VM,
I say if the Tigers get Pudge then I go first. If the Cubs get Pudge, then you can have it.

If the Tigers get Pudge, there will be quite a few Tigers on a few of the fantasy rosters. Big Grin

I'm so giddy right now I can't take it. If the Tigers don't sign him, it will be another embarrassment. If they do? .500 is not out of reach. That is if the pitching improves. At least they will compete.

Cheers to GrapeFriends!

I say let Vino Me go first. He will draft a Cubbie and that about guarantees him losing.

I'll be happy to participate, if it's not too late. Let me know, pyang. I'm open as far as the draft is concerned.

Draft night preferance: Weeknights (except Wednesdays)

Sounds good, will be looking for the details.

Weeknights work best for me. Only trip I have planned through March is 5 days in Reno/Tahoe March 17-22

my preference is a weeknight other than Wednesday (softball night).

Stood up and tried to focus
I hoped I wouldn't have to look far
I knew I could use a bloody mary
so I stumbled next door to the bar

Scotty,

I think the entrance fee is a $50 bottle of wine. Pyang is still deciding how many top finishers will get bottles.

The vote stands at 10 - 3 in favor of week night, with five forumites not yet responded which would make no difference at this point.

The draft will likely be held on a Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday night. I will announce the date and time as soon as I can.

The entry fee is a $50 bottle of wine as suggested by R2-D2, give a take a few dollars. I will try my best to find a free hosting site that can accommodate our needs for the league format.

In the event I can't find such a free site, we will probably have to pay $5 - $8 per person for league hosting fee.

I am 99% certain we will award the top 4 finishers, maybe more, pending on final count of team owners.

nirvana94-

Why don't you take my team- email pynag. See below. With a baby due next month I really don't need t be spending the time a fantasy b-ball team takes. It would be much better spent with my daughter!

Pyang,

Not being familiar with the rules of fantasy baseball. Can you direct me to a site with the rules we will be using. Some questions I'd like to get answers to:

1) How do we decide what position a player plays? (ie. will someone have to use ARod at his new position 3rd or last years position SS)

2) How many games does a player have to play at a given position to use him there? (ie. if a player is an OF but played 1-2 games at 1B, can I put him on my roster at 1B)
