I know this is one of the newest "HYPE" cabernets, but with just 418 cases made for their 2005 Napa Valley at $175 (release!) I was just wondering if anyone here has actually tasted it and can recommend it. Im not looking for a tasting note, just a thumbs up or down based on QPR. (and Yes..I know perhaps its too young)

Laube rated this one 94. I have not personally tried it (it doesn't even ship out until the fall).

I'm already in for two bottles so I hope it is very good as Laube said in his blog. I thought he might of scored it higher based on his comments last month.

Ovid hasn't released, yet it is priced at $175 per bottle! Well, I guess that's half the nerve of Levy & McClellan,; their first relase was $350! I passed on both, & I also passed on the 2005 Bryant, 90 points for $300! Roll Eyes

A better value would be Maybach, Merus, or Kapcsandy; all rated higher, but costs $50/$75 less.
