I just bought some '01 Simi Alexander Valley Cab ~ $20, '01 Delicato Shiraz ~ $5, and '99 Marques de Caceres Rioja ~ $9 also. Been on a spending spree lately, got a few everyday bottles of Bonny Doon Big House Red and some cheap Barwang Shiraz at the grocery store a few days ago also.

(12) 2001 Leone de Castris Primitivo di Manduria Santera @ $13CAD

I can't believe I stood outside in -23C weather (-9F for our American friends) to pick up wine this morning. And yes, I had to be there before opening because now this wine is gone from several stores in my area.

Go figure.

Al,

Personally, I don't think you can go wrong with that wine - especially for the price. It's an easy quaffer, with or without food and everone I've served it to enjoyed it.
