WOOOOOO!!!! HOOOOOOO!!!! IN. is free for its online sales now! I have been waiting on this for awhile, almost the whole 8yrs I have been in the business. This not only means that I can sell and add shopping carts to the website, but more importantly I can start getting my brews and wines from the places that I have been waiting to recieve from! No more missing out on the special releases from breweries/wineries or getting my wines/beers shipped to my buddy out of state only for me to drive to go pick up. Very exciting news! Big Grin

Hold on...until the 24 case agragate household limit is worked out...don't expect any wineries to ship to the Hoosier state.

Now I can get onto that Levy-McClelland waiting list! Wink All kidding aside, this is very cool news, proving once again that there's more than corn in Indiana.

Strange....I've bought wine from a retail store in Indianapolis before and they sent me the wine via UPS. The last time I had to call them because they didn't have shopping carts online. Seems odd that I could buy from them but you would not be able to purchase wine from outside of the state. Then again this may be why the law was overturned...

Funny you said that, because that is precisely what IL signed into law this past fall and went into effect last weekend. I had 9.25% tax added to my Kongsgaard and my Ovid order because they were being shipped in the fall. As of 6/1/08 IL will charge sales tax on ALL direct purchases and will NOT allow out of state retailers to ship to IL. However IL retailers are free to ship to any state they please. Unconstitutional, yes. How long before it is resolved - likely years!!!

Great news. Direct shipping is a beautiful thing.

I would cry openly if it was ever taken away from me.
