1. Restaurant Max - Across the street from Eastman Theater in downtown

2. Blu - On Monroe Avenue
3. Tastings - Next door to Wegmans also on Monroe

4. Grill at Strathallen - On East Ave at the Strathallen hotel

Are these (or others) wine friendly? Low/no corkage, etc.? In-laws are taking folks out and I'd like to bring some wine.....

It's been too long since my last visit to Rochester to recommend any restaurants. However, there was a good place to shop for (French) wine called Century Liquors on Route 104 just west of downtown (in a strip plaza). I've heard it's still going.

Our favorites, if they're still there, are The Depot and Eddie's Chop House.

Century Liquors is in full swing. They sell an obscene amount of wine (all major regions). They sometimes have some of the best prices in the country.

Tastings corkage used to be free. I believe that they are $10 now.
