We flew Alitalia from Greece (the first part of our honeymoon) into Italy. But we had Lufthansa on the way home. Oh well.

great read, thanks!

we went sept. 03 and had not trouble. i think we brought back about 14 wines plus about five olive oils.

we are returning in '06 and I have a little different strategy in mind -

1. drink THE BEST each day when we are there
2. buy and bring back ONLY wines that i generally can't get here or that are a crazy-good deal. (last time i brought back a couple like '99 fontalloro and '97 Castello Brolio, great wines and prices but i can get it here). I'll stick with only big boys.

so glad we didn't have those types of issues!
