How much should or shouldn't be read into a lack of description in an auction catalog. For instance several similar items would include 'outstanding color' or 'excellent color and condition'. So if another lot (from the same collection) is lacking a description (other than fill and label condition) should one assume that the color is not outstanding or excellent?

Is there an understood difference between 'outstanding' and 'excellent'.
