VINO ME: Thanks for the great info. Where's the absolute best place to purchase some of these suggestions?

Vino, thanks for that. I've also ordered a couple of Dr Loosen 2005 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Auslese, which according to the Wine Spectator review should be ready to drink now, as opposed to the JJ Prum. I don't know how exact the WS suggestions are, but since that's all I have to go by, I'll try one of the Loosens, and if I feel that the qualities you described for a young German wine are present and detract, I'll hold off on the others.

CS78- I don't know any stores in Sacramento to recommend. Of the online retailers, K&L, Winex, Premier Cru and Garrigiste (in Seattle) have good prices and selection form time to time. Sams in Chicago also has an excellent selection but they do not put everything online and don't keep it very well updated.

Champagne, at times, has been the only wine I've enjoyed Asian food with.

Typically, it is with beer or even simply water.
Same goes for Indian, of which I'm a huge fan.

Vino Me, why so little '05 Prum Wehlener Sonnenuhr Auslese GKA relative to the Prum Graacher Himmelreich GKA?

I had to pay full price for the WS GKA. I found a bargain on the GH GKA and bought a case for what you would expect to pay for the regular GH Auslese.

Not a whole lot to add from last time, as KC area is a German wasteland. Picked up a few of each of these:
Weingut Johannishof Johannisberg G Kabinett
Selbach-Oster Bernkasteler Badstube Spatlese
Selbach-Oster Kabinett
Von Hovel Oberemmler Hutte Spatlese
Reinhold Haart Piesporter Spätlese
Fritz Haag Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr Spatlese AP7

For a generic spatlese, the Reinhold Haart is a great value. I am on a hunt this weekend for additional Prum.
