I've been too busy the past two weeks to blink, but our submittal is finally in.

So, now the fiancée and I are putting the finishing touches on our honeymoon. I know I've asked this before, but...

We'll be in Tuscany for the first week in September. We'll be there a week, and plan to tour wineries for 2-3 days. So far, we've given the "definite nod" to Terrabianca and Banfi. The 90% list is Fuligni and Biondi Santi.

Any other recommendation, thoughts, etc.? Any help would be greatly appreciated. And as always, thanks in advance!!!

San Felice has a nice hotel at the winery with some experimental vineyards dealing with previously extinct varieties.

FYI: The San Felice hotel is a Relais and Chateau -- I didn't stay there but it looked charming and I've never had a bad experience -- or even heard of a bad experience -- at any Relais and Chateau.

As I've posted before, San Giusto a Retananno, in Chianti -- I belive Gaoli in Chianti -- is my favorite Chianti producer (their 1998 Chianti Riserva is the best Chianti I've ever tasted). They also make a phenominal 100% Sangiovese Super-Tuscan called Percarlo and a terrific 100% Merlot called Ricolma. Also, the best olive oil I've tasted.

Roberto, his wife and daughter are all fantastic people. I enjoyed the Campaccio Riserva 97 last night and was thinking how great it will be when we go to Terrabianca next year. Definately come home with some of their olive oil. Great selections between them and Banfi. Two different styles of ownership. Hope that both are enjoyable.

Riecine.

They make a contender for best Chianti Classico year after year and feature one of the most beautiful views in the area.
