1997 Masi Serego Aligheri Vaio Amarone - Cuz it's a perfect light summer wine. Roll Eyes Big Grin

Great stuff. Huge body and ready to drink. It is like a dry Vintage Port.

Oh, and also a 2004 Wolf Blass Yellow Label Cab with Futronic with Steaks for lunch a couple of days back. I am confident this is the first time he has drank a bottle without taking notes. Wink Razz Big Grin Needless to say, the place we ate had a very limited wine list.

I'm back....

For the record, I was not there. This is just a giant cover-up for Baird.

Last night....

1998 D'Arenberg The Dead Arm Shiraz - Wow. This is Shiraz at it's best. It is perfect to drink now and I will be drinking my remaining bottles over the next 1-2 years max. Absolutely agree with RP's 96 point rating. I think this is better than the 1999 and also the 2001.

2000 Catena Malbec

Just finished dinner...

Opened a 1992 Raymand Burr Cabernet Sauvignon... It was the last vintage that Burr could drink... Made by Pedroncelli... It is featured at the end of the last Perry Mason movie Burr did.

Amazingly, still young and fruitful. Medium bodied.

We then opened a 1996 Pine Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon to have with the grilled Filet Mignon. It was deeper, throwing more sediment -- yet I liked them equally.

90 points for each of them.

We didn't open a 1996 Justin Isosceles... We'll have that sometime in the future.
