I was in Cost Plus World Market this week and it looks as if they still have an area devoted to closeouts (25% off regular retail). It probably varies store-to-store but the store that I was in had both the 2004 Ben Marco Malbec and 2004 Jim Barry, The Cover Drive Cabernet Sauvignon at attractive prices. These are both very good wines.

Thanks for the heads-up Altaholic. Think I'll have to take a trip down to the local Cost Plus - haven't been in awhile - and see what they have.

Me: You don't think the wine opened after an hour or two?
My gf: I liked it better when you first opened it. It was like getting hit in the face with a crowbar.
Me: Two-buck Chuck is like getting hit in the face with a crowbar.
My gf: Yeah, but this is a TASTY crowbar.

Was at Cost Plus yesterday and found the 2003 Vall Llach Embruix at 50% off. I grabbed them all at my location, but I figured I would notify the boards in case anyone else can find 'em.

Yes, it's worth pushing a cart around there once in a while.

But, they are notorious for the Shelf Talker Switcheroo. Caveat Emptor.

They closed all of the Cost Plus World Markets in my neck of the woods (Mich). However, it was a wonderful opportunity to pick up lots of glasses at deep discounts (50% off). I bought about 40-50 glasses... port, dessert, champagne, bordeaux, and pinot/burg.

Not all Michigan stores. Ann Arbor and East Lansing remain open, at least.

Didn't know that. Still, if I were visiting A2, I suspect I'd be at VC. Smile
