I'm not sure that's the case anymore re Aussies, even the high end ones. Some Aussie in the same price range as the Dead Arm, such as those from Torbreck (e.g., Struie), Two Hands (e.g., some Garden Series) and Charles Melton (e.g., Nine Popes) to name but a few, are more expensive at LCBO compared with US.
And the trend is getting worse year over year.

I will say I had a mediocre bottle last night. 2 good, 1 not so good. Oh, and 1 corked, but that doesn't count.
I drank my last bottle of the 02 just two months ago. It was surprisingly fresh and fruity still - probably could have kept going for many more years in the cellar.
