It's awesome. Not much more to say than that.

A note that I haven't put on CT yet:

45% Pinot, 55% Chardonnay. Pale gold colour. Beautiful nose of sherry, white flower, pear, citrus rind, oatmeal biscuit and brioche. Very powerful. Nice texture but still very youthful. Walnuts, brioche, apple, oatmeal, pear, mineral notes on the palate. Long finish, ~45-55s. Delicious with a very long life ahead. Drink 2012+. Way better than a bottle in April. 93 points with upside.

Hey Fut...I wonder why everybody thinks w+a is the only guy on this board that drinks nice Champagne? Roll Eyes

Hey Dom...here's my last two notes:

1995 Henriot Champagne Cuvée des Enchanteleurs Brut - France, Champagne (7/23/2008)
WIML93

Tasted July 23, 2008 at an offline.

I've been wanting to try this Champagne because I've started seeing it at auction as of late at some favorable pricing and I'm glad I did. Light yellow to yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout with moderate and steady beading. Nose and palate that leaned more towards the citrus end of the spectrum but did have some subtle notes of yeast as well. Bright acidity, medium to full body. Pretty good fruit. It's a keeper around the century mark or so. Drink or hold. I'd say score wise this wine was in the low to mid 90s, let's call it close to the WIML93 mark for the moment. (93 pts.)

1995 Henriot Champagne Cuvée des Enchanteleurs Brut - France, Champagne (4/25/2008)
WIML91

Tasted April 25, 2008 at an offline. No formal notes. (91 pts.)

Since you choose to insult us in this manner I will be taunting you this evening by opening a Selosse Initiale. I fart in your general direction.

Dom'nVin'sDad, you have long been a wise and learned wine enthusiast, and seeking any other insight or advice on the subject (Brad Baker being excluded) would clearly be foolhardy, senseless and even absurd if not maladroit. Razz Wink

On a serious note,( Wink) I'm not sure I know your palate well enough when it comes to Champagne to recommend. As Futronic says, this is a blend of 55% Chardonnay and 45% Pinot. This is a Champagne that demands food in my opinion, and is a wine that will improve over the coming years.

I have enjoyed the '88,'89 & '90 vintages a great deal in the past. What Champagnes have you enjoyed a great deal in the past? This may help me to advise if you should pull the trigger or not.
