A net search didn't turn up much either. Confused

I've tried it. Not bad as I recall, 85-87 points. But, I paid $9.95 at Cost Plus and they ended up closing it out at $5. $23.79??? I wouldn't pay that.

Lacers, it was at the Crown Valley Parkway location in Laguna. It's my local Costco and I noticed they had stored the Sebastiani in one of the aisles (as opposed to the bins) next to some Merlot's. The last time I was there about a month ago they were down to their last 4 bottles and I assume they were not getting any more, but maybe they did. It's a really nice wine today, I can't imagine what it will taste like in a few years.

Good luck.

Thank you. I think you got lucky on the pricing, the two Costco's by me in San Gabriel Valley have Sebastiani Pinot's for $8.99, so maybe they priced all Sebastiani's $8.99. What is odd is they used to have Chateau Souverain Cabs for $11.99, now since Parker rated it a 89 or 90, it went up to $14.99! LOL!

Good price regardless but would you mind telling me which version of the cab it is? Just curious.

Hey, that's not fair. Here I live just minutes from Ch. Ste. Michelle, and my local Costco carries the EROICA for $19.99. Never mind the Erotica... Mad

My original post was mistaken....

It is actually the Sebastiani 2001 Cabernet, not the 2002. It does not indicate a special release, just a standard edition.

UPC 0 88232 00261 0

Hope that helps.

Steve

If anyone has notes on this I wouldn't mind reading. Personally, I'm afraid to get it myself. That E. Loosen looks hairy..... Red Face

I had this with crawfish (not a good pairing but I thought it would be) and it heavily reminded me of green apple, hay, and pear.

It would be fine to drink by itself, but kind of on the tart side.

Gah, either not enough people got the joke or are choosing to ignore it. Check the spelling used in the first post - it indicated some Dr. Loosen p0rn was available at the local Costco.

At least I thought it was funny.... Confused

2003 Rosemount Show Reserve Chardonnay - in the WS Insider this week (realized when I looked at it after I bought) - $15 (#72117)

2001 Terrabianca Campaccio - $25 (#93208)

And a handful of "normal" wines that don't need an alert.

And I want a Costco that sells French and Italian wine. Other than the champagnes and maybe 1 or 2 random other French items and maybe a grand total of 4 Italians, everything else is US-produced with a spattering of Australia!

Same here. 80% of my Costco is California Cabs and Merlots. But, they're cheap.

Pyang,

This is off subject for this thread but I didn't want to start a new one.

What is your affiliation with winebid.com? Do you work for them or just a fan of their service?

I recently started ordering wine and it takes forever for it to arrive, which is really a turnoff. Has everyone had this problem or is there someone I need to speak with at winebid? Any suggestions?

Thanks, Steve
