This is below futures prices and they have fewer than 150 bottles left. I am watching the inventory until it goes down to one or two cases. Then maybe I will pull the trigger.

How can you know the inventory level?

Add wine to your "Shopping Cart". I use a large number such as 1000 etc.; before you check out it will tell you how many bottles are left. Then just cancel the order (unless you really want them all).

Not a wine, but related, this showed up at my Costco recently:

Kirkland branded Macallan 15 yr sherry wood scotch for $50. I bought a bottle, but haven't tried it yet.

*******
Not looking good for next year either.

Costco does a great job with their wine selection. We have one about a block from a BevMo and Costco beats them hands down every time we compare...especially with the quality/price of their international selections!

Coon Rapids, MN:

Went to re-up on the Clos du Marquis Saint Julien at 19.97 last night and got the name of the other bordeaux. Also closing out Les Pagodes de Cos Saint Estephe 2005 for 19.97.

Was my initial post from last night about the Clos du Marquis deleted for some reason? It seems to have been removed...

That would be outrageous for many who bought it at $100. are you sure it is RWT ? not St Henri.

The 05 RWT is going to be the best one Penfolds has made to date. That price doesn't sound right.

And at it's current pace, it will overtake the moribund 'please ignore this post' thread in views by 2013 and in replies by 2028! Smile

I noticed a few new closeouts at costco recently that are ending in 98 cents now. So keep an eye out for .98 as well as .97 in the price.
