I shouldn't have looked at this thread as it is depressing! Frown Razz. In Canada, all we can buy at Costco is giant boxes of cereal, smokes and film processing!

Hey Flubis,

It must be the higher rent in Westlake Village (or the higher average income!).
Anyway, costco.com is selling the '99 d'Yquem for $129.99-right in the middle of the two.

Do you ever go to the Slimi Costco for wine? Definitely less selection, but when they do bring in some good stuff it is usually there for a little longer. Maybe we could exchange e-mails and notify each other when we make a find at the local Costco's. Mine is stuw@pressed4time.com.

Thanks,
Stuart

Danville Costco have most of the items posted above as Novato Costco. In addition, they have 2001 Ausone and may still have some 2000 Concha y Toro Don Melchor, $28.99, #94361.

Pyang,

How much was the Ausone and how many did they have? I may venture down there tomorrow...

Anyone seen any at other Costco's in the Bay Area?

So I went into Costco in St. Peters, Missouri today to look for something special for over the holidays and the clerk told me, they never get any good wine because some guy named Powell out in California hogs it all.

OrindaDave,

I think they had about 6 bottles left at $199.99 each. I picked up 23 bottles at Novato Costco back in October.

I found it in the south bay. I don't recall exactly where; I think it was either the Sunnyvale or the Santa Clara branch.

I found it by accident - the item number is almost identical to Suduiraut (754528 as opposed to 754828)

Maybe you can imagine my surprise when the stock checker said "yes we have that - it's $200 a bottle".
