I see there's now a Kirkland branded 18YO Macallan Single Malt Scotch. However it's only finished in sherry casks; it was matured in bourbon. http://scmwine.info

Dave: If you go to Costco.com, you will find them offering 2005 Bordeaux futures. The prices are, of course, out of this world. For example, the 2005 Haut Brion is offered at $570. By the way, the wine guy at my local Costco said the same thing about pre-ordering at the store.

Yes, very sure of that and judging from your location, I bought them at your Costco. I bought three at $79.99 in the wooden cases last week, then three more the following week at $49.97, without the wooden case. But stop the presses, there's more. Best buy to date, this afternoon. 2003 Quinta do Noval $29.97. I bought it all. It was $63.99 on Friday. No good deed goes unpunished

2005 D'Arenberg Dead Arm 49.99 BTW- In store displays are now up for 2005 Bordeaux futures (possibly the voicemail issue above). A gigantic cube sitting on a wooden palate with a slit in the top to put in your order slip. I'm sure they are going to fill that up in no time Wine is sure proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy - Benjamin Franklin

1990 Veuve Clicquot Reserve Rose in Magnum. $149.00. I haven't had this in several years but I picked up a few based on how much I liked it 3-5 years ago. Also picked up the 04 Don Melchor Mags. I had one last week with a 6 hour decant, excellent stuff.

Lakersguy, Do you have a product # on the Clicquot? I hardly ever see that kind of stuff up here. Never in mags. *********** I don't always drink beer...but when I do...you'd better just stay away from me, okay?

Holy moley, I know VC released some 1985 Rose for under $100, but 1990 in mag for $150? That's a steal! http://scmwine.info

Your Costco wine-alert is a great idea as Costco has some surpising "finds" sometimes. Here's one: Found the Amisfield 2005 Pinot Noir (93 pts from WS) at Atlanta-area Costco for $24.99. Its a great Pinot, hard to find and this price is less than what I've seen on some web sites.

I noticed tonight that Costco is running a coupon for Sebastiani Sonoma County Cabernet. $10 off 4. Works out to $9.50 a bottle, which is a good deal for a decent everyday Cab. The same flyer also has a coupon for 7 Deadly Zins, but I don't remember the exact deal on that one.

Those Costco coupons require you to buy more than you intended, in the true spirit of Costco. The last coupon I saw required a case purchase. The selection in La Mesa and Chula Vista are boring. I wish they would bring back the Pascal Jolivet.
