RJonesUSC,

This BB does not provide e-mail or PM function. The only way for the forumites to make contact is to post information on the board.

If the exchange of these conversation is really that annoying to you and more important than the information you are receiving from this thread I started, then unsubscribe.

You have to realize that this is a thread to help out fellow forumites locating the wines they may want at Costcos or even go as far as buying wine for complete strangers and get it to their hands just for the fact that they are also wine lovers.

Ah, I didn't realize that. I should have checked that before posting.

Yes, I do realize that and that's why I subscribe to the thread.

Thanks Pyang,

If you can get 2 bottles great, but anything you can do is greatly appreciated. Let me know what you come up with and I will give you cash and icewine, icewine only, or whatever you prefer.

Thanks,

Brent

Hmmm, if you're in Pasadena (guessing from Rose Bowl as the location), I can take a look at one or two of the local Costco's in the San Fernando Valley and see what they've got. I think I'm due for a stop this weekend to get dog food anyway.

In San Francisco I spotted a couple of cases of Young Ridge Cabernet 1997 - Ridge Top Estate. $40 - 866201

I've had this once before and it's a pretty good value at $40. If I wasn't so broke I'd have loaded up on it.

Today in Lincoln Park:

Lafite $100 (all gone, thanks to me Big Grin)
Pontet Canet $33
Leoville Barton $36 (I bought the last one)
Clerc Milon $35ish
Lagrange $25
Cantemerle $23
Smith Haut Lafitte $30ish

There was evidence of Margaux and Haut Brion, but it was all gone.

Also of note, this store had these wines on a palate at the back of the wine section, not on the wood racks with the rest of the wine. It was as if they knew that many would sell out and didn't want to bother putting them out on the racks. I don't know how long they've been there because I haven't looked there before.

Welcome GwenieO!
What Costco has sort of depends on where you live.

Just got back from Novato Costco. They told me it hadn't come in yet! Am I being duped again? Likely. Pyang, if you get your hands on some and could pick me up 3 bottles I would really appreciate it. I am home today 415-493-5018.

Just a thought - would it be worth having seperate Costco threads for different regions? All this talk of wines in Illinois is very frustrating.

I'll check the Costco here in town and report back. Last time I was there, it wasn't even worth the gas.

Picked up some 02 Latour at the Mountainview costco. They had one case so I left 10 bottles. The wine was in lockup, not on display. Also I believe that the Redwood city store got case. Better act fast.

It's going for $119.99 - Don't waste your time with Danville, not in yet (but on order).

That's what they told me in Novato, however that wasn't true. It's just hidden in the back and not up on the computer yet.
