Tried it and liked it. Nice deep colored, subdued nose of earthy fruit, medium body, dry but with good underlying fruit. Nicely balanced and very drinkable. Not bad for a $20 Bordeaux.
Did anyone ever get the other item #'s for the first growths ? All I have found was the Haut-Brion and they were gone no more than 12 hours after I found them.

Believe it or not, three years ago I bought a bottle of 1990 d'Yquem from the Sam's Club in Farmington, Michigan for $199. It was just sitting there all by its lonesome. I remember the look the cashier gave me when I paid for it.
Doublestop:
I want to go to your club. Mine sucks. I was there 2x in the past 2 weeks and they had nothing that anyone else is showing as a good buy. Most of what they did have I could buy from the local liquor store for 10% less off the price.
Of course, that is the price we pay for living in the quite of the country. We get all the "Boone's Farm" you can drink. For me that would be 1/2 glass. For my hubby 1 case

What can I say he is easy![/QUOTE]
That was a one-time thing with the d'Yquem. Haven't had much luck at that Sam's Club since, although the new Sam's on Northwestern Hwy is not bad. Anyway, I go to Sam's or Costco for the prices and not the selection. By the way, the 2002 Reignac selling for $20 at Costco is priced at $29 in a local grocery. Unbelievable!!!
Where can I get some Boone's Farm or Annie Green Springs? I have not had those since I was in college. I miss them dearly, I think.

The only true saving on these is the Latour. Lafite, Haut-Brion and Mouton can be easily found in the $130 range. Margaux is available in the $120 range, with Premier Cru even slightly cheaper at $110.
With the exception of Latour and perhaps Lafite, there really is no rush to buy these 2002 Bordeaux at Costco unless it's at a significant saving (low retail for Latour is $180 on winesearcher.com).
With the abundance of Bordeaux sitting in the retail market, most of the 2002s are not going up on price anytime soon, shop wisely.
*** Festiva,
I don't know if these will make it on the website, no way of telling.
Having tasted all of the first growths two months ago I don't know why people are buying them period, unless they want hard wines that will take decades to come around. Unless you like to tell people how many first growths you have in your cellar let Costco keep the wines. If you want to buy wine for eventual drinking and pleasure the super seconds and many other lower classified growths are as good as the much more expensive big boys in the 2002 vintage.
The '02 Palmer, with a bunch of merlot in it is a big step up from Mouton, Haut Brion and La Mission. If you need to speed the $ there is still a ton of low classified 2000 around for prices similar to the 02 First Growths. I think the 02's are harder then the 88's and are a lot like the 75's which are now coming around tannin wise but lack fruit.
Some other stuff were also available, 2001 Chaval Blanc, 1999 Penfolds Grange, 2003 Two Hands Lily's Garden Shiraz, 2001 Sassicaia, N.V. Buller Fine Tokay...

All the best, Russell Bevan Bevan Cellars
Well, who are you? Just kidding, I guess You are the 1st person giving bad feedback about the '02s 1st Growths. Anyway, I'm gonna pick some Haut Brion tomorrow
Waltham costco had margaux, Mouton & HB at $127 (sold out of Lafite). I was able to get last 4 bottles of Lafite from Danvers Costco. Both still have Mouton & HB. No Latour yet.
