I tasted this wine at a restaurant tasting last
night..Its a Monster Cabernet ( overtly tannic)
Then I was told it retails for roughly $145
AAAAAH..Are you kidding me? Talk about price point dislocation. Has anyone tasted this wine and liked it?. I couldnt find anything on CT.

I've read some buzz on it and looked it up. It appears to be Tim Mondavi's effort post Mondavi. I wish him luck, but I'm not interested.

I got a bizzare mailer from them. It was a fancy card that had a hand written note inside saying their initial offering has been delayed. It had a part that had paper pasted over it. Maybe they are using the same distributor as L & Mc Wink

Yep.
Very strange that mailing list members still don't get it, yet it widely available at retail

I have a bottle ready to kill sometime this weekend (which at this point means tomorrow). I'll be sure to post a note. I've heard from multiple people that it is a good wine. Not mindblowing, but good.

It hasn't made it to the shelves in Mpls, but I'll pass on any vintage considering the price.

Tried this tonight. I'm not seeking out anymore (especially in light of its price). It's a solid, cookie cutter CA Cab. Some VA on the nose (sweet tart candy), mixed with dark brambly fruit, and creamy oak. Full bodied. Moderate/long finish. Lacking any sort of grace or complexity, but good enough for what it is. 92 pts.

Sounds like my kind of wine, but the price doesn't.
