Montalcino is a piece of cake. Try Naples, now that's some fun. I loved it. Unfortunately, you just can't get away with those kind of moves in the States (usually).

I don't know what experiences y'all had, but when I was at Banfi (May '04), it was quiet, peaceful, and just great. Nothing resembling Disneyland.

Went through their glass museum - we were the only people in it. Hung around on the grounds while sobering up... nothing but swallows making noise.

Now the busload of people who filled out the restaurant during lunch - that's another story.

i agree(re:banfi). we were there in 02, and after everyone told us to make res's months in advance(which we did), we ended up being about the only people there. this was a good thing. Smile
