Gigond Ass,

The wines I listed are only the tip of the iceberg. It would take too long to type out everything. Wink

I am relieved to see that others have the same problem as I have...not buying excessive quantities of wine, rather, having a significant other who grouses when the buying is done. I have recently asked Mr. magdalena, after an appropriate amount of cooing, a great dinner, and a fine bottle of wine, to add some additional racks to our basement wine cellar. Even after all of my preparation, he still came up for air. I did have other tools at my disposal, though. I've been promised more storage space before the end of the month. The cases of Yocochuya Malbec 2000 and Beaucastel CdP 2001 put me (us) over the top.

Because I am running out of room. My biggest problem is buying blind. While I like to see movies without reading reviews, sometimes wine buying in this fashion can be more risky. Especially because the prices vary. I agree it is a hobby and the $$$$ burning a hole in my pocket would be better spent in a savings account. I do think that I need help also. I am running out of places to hide the stuff from my wife. I make RUNS to plattsburgh NY to buy, feeling like a teenager when bringing the stuff back. I pull my newly purchased babies out from under teh car seat and hold them in my lap....
One day, down the hatch. Simply the most satisying hobby that I have ever had.

I also had this problem. Then, recently, I discovered this forum. Now I am buying much more wine than ever, but at least I feel more confident about my purchases. I am no longer concerned with my compulsive behavior, and can't wait to see what my cellar looks like in 20 years ! Thank you "forumites" !!
