It is a joke, and I expect that nearly everything is made up, but Krunch is the joker, not Chris.
Just Google his name.
If he is the one who scammed a WS forumite, he should now be easy to find.

Just to be very clear Jeff "krunch" Kretschmar wrote this. He also wrote many other statements about himself and his accomplisments. Of course NONE ARE TRUE!!!!! He is living a great life if only on paper and in his own mind. In reality He has never attended nor graduated from Harvard They have no record of him. Funny the court of Soms Has no record of clue as to this guy either. But these are claims he has made. He did work at costco but was releived of employment in Jan of 2009. Other than that and a long list of other lost employment this guy is a total FRAUD & LOSSER.

Holy cow, that's the resume of a Costco employee? The job market must be tougher than I thought.

Here's another Krunch fun fact, or his website bs: Great Wine Waiting For You www.bottledgrapesonline.comKrunch Kretschmar, a Chicago entrepreneur and wine consultant, runs a wine club that has outperformed investments in anything but oil over the last 4 years. Mr. Kretschmar’s club includes 25 International investors who bought shares at $3,000 each in YEAR, creating a fund of $300,000.00 to buy the wines. Since its inception the value of the collection has grown to an estimated $50 million, or $2 million per share. Particular standouts in the collection include: 1986 Chateau Lafite,(Bought at $250, Value today at $1200) 1945 Chateau Mouton,( Bought at $2500, Value today at $30,000) 1978 Romanée Conti, (Bought at $1500, Value today at $12,000) 2001 Chateau D'Yquem, (Bought at $150, Value today at $1000). Since 2004 the London based Livex 100 Index has tracked the trading pattern of many of the most sought after wines in their recent vintages. From the beginning of 2006, The Liv-ex 100 index rose 43.2% to November 07 outperforming gold, the FTSE and Dow Jones. Viewed as a speculative investment, in the last 20 years fine wine has also outperformed a number of equity and fixed income indices including the FTSE 100. Mr Kretschmar combines a Harvard Ph.D in economics with the expertise in wine he developed while becoming a International Grand Conferie Sommelier, a designation that blends a mastery of wine with elite training in spirits, cheeses, tobacco and etiquette. In addition to the wine portfolio he oversees, Mr. Kretschmar consults on wine purchasing for restaurants, retail stores, including Costco, and private collectors and wine lovers.

Did he inadvertently leave "YEAR" as a wildcard to be modified later?? Was 2001 d'yquem really that cheap? I thought they didn't begin offering futures until after 2001, and I thought the release price was higher.

Something wrong with the arithmetic here, too. 25 x 3,000 = 75,000 not 300,000.

Or all of the investors bought 4 shares each. The math isn't the problem here so much as the connection to reality.
