Hi,I'm a newbie to the Forums. I've enjoyed it thus far. I've noticed that when discussing food and wine, it seems that some members can only talk about for the most part fine restaurants, and fine wine, which is totally cool. However, there can be other special moments as well, not necessarliy over a bottle of Lafite...

Last night, the wife and kids (10 & 12 yrs old) were to be out until 10ish. This does not happen very often, so I had to fend for myself in the food department. As it turns out, the evening was great! I sat outside to eat at 8:30pm. Temp was in the mid 60's. Wore a sweatshirt, shorts & Ugg boots. Had freshly made cole slaw, freshly grilled garlic bread and a bowl of 2 day old chile. Washed it down with a simple $20.00 bottle of Navarro Mendocino Pinot Noir. It's quite and I live 2 blocks from the beach. Could hear the surf. Finished eating. Finished my bottle, and realized that truly, sometimes, "it's the little things in life".

Anybody have similar moments that they'd like to share?

Cheers!
