Are you familiar with this wine?

2001 Weingut Willi Bründlmayer Grüner Veltliner Kamptaler Terrassen

I originaly entered it for some reason as a Riesling in CellarTracker but realized a few months ago it's a GV.
I have no idea when or where I got it.
Is it a good producer and a good vintage?

I haven't had this wine but can give you some general info that might help. 2001 was a very good year in Austria. In addition, Brundlmayer is a very good producer. I recently sampled some of his 2004's and my notes can be found at this link. The Terrassen is one of his base wines though. When you see the word Terrassen on an Austrian bottle it usually means it is a wine blended from different terraced vineyards and the grapes were picked on one of the early to middle passes through the vineyards. I would not expect this wine to be anything spectacular and would be surprised if it reached 90 points. Drink this now.
