Just thought I would toss around an idea that I wish WS's forum has... which is the ability to create our own individual polls. So us forumites can do our own litte Q&A.

anyone else thinks this would be a great option?

They have "Polling" options on other sites. But then when you start adding options, such as polling, people are going to want "Avatar" options and posting pics directly and then that just takes up more bandwidth.

I like the way WS is right now...plain and simple for us non-IT geeks Smile

Mike: Why don't you start a poll to determine how many people want polls.....Oops. Never mind. Smile

We think alike Sapril!
The only thing I would like to see is the addition of a travel section, since travel is often featured in WS magazine I think it is a natural. I once thought an area for off topic conversations would be helpful but I now understand that this is first and foremost a wine site and that would lead to endless topics of everything from "what is your favorite breakfast cereal" to "if you were a tree, what kind would you be".

I wouldn't be opposed to an off-topic section, but I have seen many other websites that have one and it turned out to be a porno posting section and that gets rather tasteless.

Pinot Envy, A travel section makes more sense than the Politics section we have now.

I think a travel forum would be a wonderful idea.

We used to see "Where?" threads in the Dining and Cooking forum, for some reason, but now they appear in the Wine Conversations forum.

I presume that our WS masters want to have as few separate forums as possible. There were only four when I began here, but in the previous incarnation there were lots of separate forums, and I too found it a bit confusing to navigate through them. But I think one more would be manageable and help to cut down the bulk in the Wine Conversations forum.

Waddya say Joe M?

I'm with Sapril and others... like it the way it is. A separate travel section, though, would be nice.

What's wrong with a porno section?

If it were up to many on this site, you are more likely to find a "Porto" section.
