I think, unlike most 1986s I've had, it's within its drinking window. I wouldn't be in a hurry to drink it, but I don't think it will improve much.

Going to pull some wines for tomorrow - 12/12/12 birthday!

2 - 1987 Mondavi Reserve
2 - 1992 Dominus
2 - 1992 Spottswoode
2 - 1995 Montosoli BDM
2 - 1999 Saffredi
2 - 2001 Ceretto Bricco Rocche
and hopefully some cellar raiding.....

i think you need to scrub teh 01, 99 and the 87 and replace them with wines whose vintages begins with 1 and ends in 2
