Bring some olive oil and salt to your next off-line and I recommend NOT seasoning your green salads until after you open your wines. Seriously though, provenance sounds good so your bottles stand a good chance of being drinkable, especially the younger vintages.

Borgogno's wines are all very long-lived. I think you will have a very interesting evening when you decide to open them.

Actually 1952 was a very good vintage for Barolo. Eric likely opened a 1947.

6x 2001 Weingut Eduard Hauth Kerpen Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese Bought these a few weeks ago and drank one last night. Not the best riesling, but an excellent value @ 4.99/bottle. Went back to the store and bought a full case today and got a 10% discount off the 4.99 price. I think this will go good with the summer heat here and I'm going to enjoy this stuff all summer long. I might even poach some fresh caught trout in it while camping in a few weeks. The store also has the same wine but its a 2003 auslese for $14.99/bottle. Might pick up a few of these as well.

Great price. At a LWS or online? I bought a bottle of this at $53 the other day and would like to grab a half case.

I saw this deal from Wines Till Sold Out mailer. Didn't bite. Seems like a good price though.

Hope you have been well. I was in a celebratory mood and James Molesworth's review pushed me over the top.
