Terrific values for those who love mouthfilling, southern French reds...

How much? The 2006 of the former was released here in Ontario for $20CAD.

The guy I bought the Numanthia Numanthia from had 36 availble at that price. He is very reputable and I buy from him regularly. He is obviously clearing floor space. If anybody is interested I will contact him and see what he has left.

A lot of bang for the buck with this one.
Relatively speaking, of course...

It's been quite some time since I've actually purchased any wines, but today, I found a deal that I could not refuse. It wasn't in the magnitude of Vino Me's buys, but I was happy.

I happened, very seredindipitously, upon a vertical of old Barolos. They were in the old stone passive cellar of a farmer outside of Meaford, Ontario. The temperature in there today (mid July) was 61F. I am told it goes down to 52F in the dead of winter.

1952 Borgogno Barolo Riserva
1961 Borgogno Barolo Riserva
1964 Borgogno Barolo Riserva
1971 Borgogno Barolo Riserva
1979 Borgogno Barolo Riserva
1982 Borgogno Barolo Riserva
1989 Borgogno Barolo Riserva

and finally, from the same collection, a bottle of 1989 Chateau Lynch Bages.

All fills are into the mid to low neck and the labels and corks/capsules are in excellent condition.

I realize that the '52 is probably vinegar by now, but the rest just may be decent.

These are to be opened with my Italophile connection, probably as a vertical, and with a rather large spit bucket handy.

Wish us luck! Smile
