what's going on here?? converted?

Nope - I've always been a fan of port - just never bought much vintage port. This seemed like a good deal - I can't remember now - but I think I paid around $60 to my door...

fantastic, that'll do good with a pop and pour, very fruity still... if you see it at 60$ again let me know

Some '06 G Conterno CF Barbera.

I'll be sending in my Dehlinger order next week (sadly no Syrah in this mailer).

Just because On The Wine lives in Toronto Gundam, don't assume he bought them here. He goes to Italy as frequently as I put gas in my car. Smile

Hah! I don't know what Steve's car looks like. Every time he's in Toronto it's a rental, so he may be fibbing about owning a vehicle! Razz Big Grin

Just got a case of 2006-2007 Oregon N.V. Acme Winery Pinot Noir (produced by J. Thomas, a blend of two years) $16.25 per bottle

Also got a case of his 2007 Rose', $11.25

Both should be quality bargain drinking and great tailgate wine.

Haha, thanks for pointing that out, I shouldn't had assume that so quickly. Especially some of my own purchases the all over the internet too.

CSM , 2006 Oreno is available at Winex for $59. K&L had them on $59 as pre-arrival before, but long gone now. Doesn't get any better than this, too tempting .... must... resist ..... ARGGGHHHHHHH ...

Thanks for the info. It's my wedding year and one of my favourites, so I'm planning on stocking up.

After checking Wine Searcher, looks to me like one of the best prices out there is at the SAQ at $CAD 79, including taxes.

2006 Numanthia $50
Went to a Bodegas Numanthia tasting with their new wine maker and ended up buying a bottle. Tasting notes to be posted later.

I bought these at Top Hat in South Miami. Sticker price was $85, but they always give me a pretty good discount. We drank the 04 - it was superb; I'll drop back in before leaving to get some more of this vintage.

In Italy, I can generally find this wine for about 46 Euro.
