I don't believe anyone has started a thread yet, but the list can be found here.

The Reynella is sure bet for me, I've enjoyed the last few vintages. The 96 Lanessan may be worth a try, I think it's a good value bordeaux just not through the LCBO.

The 6L Dominus would have been good for the TWC convention last week!

This vintage of Chateau Reynella got a weak WS score. Please God, let it be so..... Wink

I may be able to get away with only some Columbia Crest Grand Estates chardonnay, though if I can find any (there are only 44 six-packs for the province according to Vintage Assessments! Eek), I will buy at least 12 bottles.

Dominus 2002 @ $109.95CAN & Dominus 'Napanook' 2002 @ $44.95CAN...these seem like reasonable prices.

I was told yesterday that the Columbia Crest chard and some others from this release have not even arrived at the main Toronto warehouse yet, and therefore this is no way these wines will be released in time.

Can anyone out there confirm or provide any inside knowledge if this is true? I really want some of that chard and according to VintageAsessments, there is very very little of it this year for some reason.

I think I have 6 x 2001 Alion, 3 x 2002 Dominus and 3 x 2002 Napanook. Unless they fall off the truck and are missing, I will pick them up next week.

I will be returning some stuff to finance this purchase though.

12 Dominus? That means you HAVE to take one for the team and crack one early to let us know if it is a RP96 or a WS88 in your opinion.Big Grin

I just picked up a Dominus mag (a bit early, but there are only 150 total mags in the province) and I am hoping to get 3 of the Dominus and as much Alion as I can. There is only 100 6 packs of Alion, so it will be hard to get as the LCBO marketing morons printed the RP95 score!Mad I should be able to get my 6, but I have a friend pulling some strings to get me another 6 on a Customer Order. The first 6 are spoken for, but I might have extras if the other 6 materialize.

You are just behind DoktaP and Duojet. Don't hold your breath though. Futronic and Carriedca came through for me last month on the Bella's. If they didn't, I was shut out.

My sources are not doing to well lately with the small allocation stuff.

Baird... unless I'm reading the Vaughan's pdf wrong, the LCBO is releasing 100 full cases of the Alion on the 18th. I hope there'll be enough to go around -- especially with the 95 point rating!

BTW... here's another endorsement for it from the folks at vinquebec (they generally review LCBO products in advance of release but don't give 97 points to undeserving wines) :

"Alion 2001 65 $

does anybody want me to pick up wine for them?
I'm not buying any of the Alion or Dominus, but more than happy to get it for someone.

While it's not in the class of the wines mentioned above, if anyone stumbles upon any 2002 Columbia Crest Grand Estates chardonnay, and can bring it to the March 17 Toronto offline, I'll take up to 6 more bottles. I got 7 of the 36 bottles that made it to Ottawa, but wouldn't mind getting more.

Can anyone surmise why there were only 44 sixpacks of this stuff for the whole province?
